4Nights/5Days Dhikala Tour Packages

Embark on an unforgettable journey deep into the heart of Corbett Tiger Reserve with our 4Nights/5Days Dhikala Tour Package. Dhikala is one of the most sought-after zones in Jim Corbett National Park, known for its untouched wilderness, dense sal forests, and vast grasslands teeming with wildlife. This extended stay allows nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts to explore the landscape at a relaxed pace while increasing their chances of tiger sightings and close encounters with the park's unique flora and fauna.

Dhikala, located around 32 kilometers from Dhangarhi Gate, is one of the most protected and scenic areas of the park. As an exclusive tourism zone, it requires permits and forest rest house bookings well in advance. The area is home to herds of elephants, spotted deer, wild boars, gharials, and leopards. The Ramganga River flowing across the region enhances its natural beauty, while the famous Dhikala Chaur (grassland) offers open landscapes ideal for photography and wildlife viewing.

This 4-night experience includes multiple Jeep safaris, guided nature walks, forest interpretation, and night stays inside the core zone of the reserve. Visitors can enjoy panoramic views from the Dhikala Watch Tower, experience thrilling drives through the buffer and core areas, and unwind in peaceful forest rest houses, built and maintained by the forest department. All safaris are conducted with professional guides, ensuring safety, adherence to park regulations, and rich insights into the ecosystem.

Location

Dhikala is accessible via Dhangarhi Gate, which is located 18 kilometers from Ramnagar. From the gate, Dhikala is around 32 kilometers inside the dense jungle, which can only be reached by registered forest department jeeps. This journey itself is part of the adventure, passing through rivers, sal forests, and hilly terrains.

Attractions

The Dhikala Zone is the largest tourism zone in Corbett and offers an unmatched wildlife experience. Attractions include high chances of spotting Royal Bengal Tigers, Asian Elephants, crocodiles, hog deer, barking deer, jackals, and a large variety of birdlife. The Watch Tower near the Dhikala Rest House offers a 360-degree view of the grasslands, ideal for morning and evening animal movements. The area also houses an interpretation center that educates visitors about the park’s ecosystem and conservation efforts.

Flora & Fauna

The Dhikala region has rich vegetation, dominated by sal trees, mixed deciduous forests, and vast open chaurs. These open meadows provide a perfect grazing ground for herbivores, attracting predators like tigers and leopards. Bird species such as vultures, crested serpent eagles, kingfishers, hornbills, and cormorants are frequently seen. The dense forests, water bodies, and natural grasslands support a high density of wildlife and make every safari an unpredictable thrill.

Night Stay

The Dhikala Forest Rest House is one of the oldest and most iconic accommodations in Corbett. Staying inside this core zone offers a unique opportunity to witness nocturnal sounds, starry skies, and wilderness all around.
